I Heart My Public School Library Shirts
Most often I’m the type of gal who doesn’t like logos on my clothes. I don’t want to be branded…at least most of the time. Yet now is a good time to be a human billboard. With serious budget cuts looming for our kiddos, and plans to axe all K-8 school librarians, I want to take a stand.
I bought this:
It’s super simple to make these shirts. Here’s how:
1. Pick up some ink jet t-shirt transfer paper at your local store in the printing labels section. I got mine for less than $8.
2. Download the pdf image (child or adult) The images are already made in a mirror image for easy use.
3. Print the image onto the transfer paper using your ink jet printer.
4. Follow the manufacturer’s instruction on how to transfer. You’ll need an iron for this and fabric or paper barrier to protect your iron.
5. Make shirts for your family and friends. Then sport your shirts around town. And most importantly, wear your shirt to the Budget meetings on the April 26th and May 3&4 at 6 p.m. at Claggett Creek Middle School. Those who want to testify for the in May need to sign in between 5:30–6 p.m. Looking forward to seeing you (and your shirts) there!
