Upcycle a Sweater into a Hat and Mitten Set (DIY Studio’s 12 Days of Christmas)

Posted by on Dec 3, 2010 in Celebrate, Make | No Comments

Continuing the Twelve Days of Christmas, DIY holiday gifts, is this simple sweater hat and mittens set. Many thanks to Little Missy who was not only my model but also my camera woman for this tutorial.

You don’t need to go out and buy a thing if you have access to a sewing machine and a used sweater. The tutorial is a bit long but it’s simple to follow and there are only a few steps. So push back your sleeves and give it a try.

Want another DIY Holiday Gift Project? Visit again tomorrow for another video tutorial. For those of you needing more inspiration, sign up for a DIY Studio workshop (because we all know crafting is much more fun when done together!).
